SVES Academic and Behavior Interventions

Each school district in the state of Maine shall provide general education interventions for all students K-12 who are not progressing toward meeting the content standards for essential instruction and graduation requirements (Chp. 101 MUSER 2012; IHBAA-R). This system is called RTI (Response to Intervention) and includes four levels/tiers of support and assessment. Tier 1-Universal In Class Strategies and Assessments; Tier 2-Targeted Instruction in small groups with progress monitoring; Tier 3-Intensive/Individualized Intervention with frequent progress monitoring; Tier 4-Individualized Education Plan
